OK, so I'm not usually one to make friends very easily. I like people, and I get along with them well enough usually, but I tend to keep them at a distance, or just not be able to connect. I've lost a couple of good, close friends over the year to various circumstances, so it came as a bit of a joyous surprise that at the end of the last term I managed to make a couple really good, amazing friends.

The first one is a girl I met near the end of the term, and got to talking to a few times before it ended, enough to exchange contacts and talk over breaks. She's quickly become very much a spiritual supporter, helping me discover for myself a lot of my religious beliefs. Beyond that, she's funny and awesome to be around, a cute face and beautiful mind, and an adoring, loyal friend.

The second is a friend of hers who has become essentially my little brother. I've never met any guy I've connected with so closely, and he has a very quick wit, strong beliefs, and a huge heart in him. He has also helped me a lot spiritually, becoming a balance to the first one and helping me to bounce ideas back and forth and ensure I am following the right path for me.

I got to spend the day with these two today after being snowed in for a long time, and it was perfect. They're an absolute blast, and the three of us go very well together. I feel absolutely blessed to know them, and I don't think I've enjoyed myself so much in several years.
